Select Region |
For selection of an area of an image (region) you can use some functions:

· Select window area.
· Use the function Copy.
(If you use the function Insert after that, this corresponds to the function Cut.) |

· Select window area.

· Move mouse pointer into selected area, until the mouse pointer is displayed.
· Press the left mouse button, hold down and shift. |

Release the mouse button
at the desired position.

· Select window area.

· Move mouse pointer into the selected area, until the mouse pointer is displayed.
· Hold down the Ctrl key and press the left mouse button, hold down and shift. |

· Release the mouse button at the desired position
The selected area is painted on the new position and is deleted on the old position. The color used for deleting is that color, which is located at the left upper edge of the selected area. |

· Select window area. |
|
· Move the mouse button onto an edge. |
|
· Press the left mouse button, hold down and shift. |
|
· Release the mouse button at the desired position. |
|
· A reduction can ocurr analog, move the frame inside.
· If you move the mouse pointer into the center of a line, you can extend and/or reduce in the corresponding direction. |
If you have selected an area „falsely“, you can move the area onto the desired position.

· Move the mousepointer near the outside frame of the selected area, (until the left shown mouse pointer is displayed.)

Move the frame
onto the desired position.

You can enlarge or reduce the selected area with the key combinations Shift + LEFT, RIGHT, UP and DOWN pixel by pixel.
If you want to set an image to screen ratio, please go on as follows.

· Select the function Select.
|
|
· Hold down the Ctrl key and press down the left mouse button. · The frame is set after that to the ratio of the screen.
|
|
· You can move the frame how described under Move region to every desired position.
During moving you are not forced to stay inside the image with the frame. (The frame is „caught“ and is positioned inside the image.) |

· Use the functions Copy and Insert and you will get exactly this clipping.
